India Replaces China To Become The World’s Most Populous Country

According to data released by the UN Population Division, India has surpassed China as the world’s most populated country.

In general, India’s population growth has slowed down, although the country continues to be home to more than 1.425 billion people. India is roughly three times smaller than China from a geographical standpoint. In addition, the population growth rate was 0.61%, the lowest level since 1960.

Despite having a slower overall rate of population increase than several other nations, such as Morocco, Bangladesh, and Colombia, the country has overtaken them all to become the world’s most populated country and the greatest provider of young adults in their prime who are learning and working. Only this age group is responsible for the nearly 23% rise between 2020 and 2025.
