Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, the UAE’s Minister of Human Resources and Emiratization, has issued a warning against companies which misuse the government’s pay assistance scheme for Emiratis.
The minister claims that numerous businesses have been underpaying Emirati job applicants by telling them they will receive wage increases through the Nafis programme of the UAE government after they are employed.
The Federal-Decree Law No. 33 of 2021, which governs labour relations and forbids discrimination that can have a detrimental influence on job possibilities, is regarded to be violated by this practise.
Any cases of such misuse will be addressed and dealt with by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (Mohre).
Minister Al Awar highlighted that Mohre would pursue any business trying to profit from Emiratisation-related policies and decisions, including the advantages offered by the Nafis programme, and will take decisive action and put in place the appropriate processes.
